The hotel occupies the historic 1920s-era Art Deco James Robertson Apartments building, which has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1984. The building has a deep-rooted history, opening originally in 1929 as The James Robertson Hotel before converting to an apartment building in 1978. The hotel preserved many features of the building’s Art Deco character.
