Dan Barge III, P.E.Dan Barge founded Barge Cauthen & Associates, Inc. in 1994 after nearly 20 years with Barge Waggoner Sumner and Cannon. Dan graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1980 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and is registered as a Professional Engineer in the state of Tennessee. Dan has been an active member of ASCE, NSPE and TSPE as well as The Nashville Rotary Club during his professional career. Alex Brockob, E.I.Alex joined BC&A as an Engineer Intern during May of 2020 after graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN with a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering. During his summer breaks from school, Alex returned home to Dallas, Texas and worked as an intern for an engineering company engaging his coursework and enhancing his software skills in Revit, Civil 3D and AutoCAD. While in school, he mentored engineering underclassmen at UT and engaged with the Steel Bridge Team as an active member of American Society of Civil Engineers. Jeremy BronnerJeremy received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. As a student he was involved in many organizations and held leadership positions in the National Society of Black Engineers, TN Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation, and the National Society of Leadership and Success. During the summers, Jeremy would intern at TDOT and work different leadership camps for high school students. Upon graduating, he worked in public utilities and site design around the Middle Tennessee area, Michigan, and Ohio. George Campbell, E.I.George is an Alabama native graduating from The University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a minor in Environmental and Water Resources Engineering. After graduation, he moved to Nashville to work as an Engineer Intern in residential site design and planning in single-family home construction. Bond Cantrell, E.I.Bond received her B.S. in Civil Engineering from the Florida State University, where she attended the joint Florida A &M University-Florida State University College of Engineering. While in school, she was active in the ASCE and the Society of Women in Engineering chapters at her university and held several leadership positions such as the FAMU-FSU Student Liaison to the Florida Engineering Society, and the Vice-President of the FSU French Honors Society. She interned with a civil engineering firm in Tallahassee, where she worked on a variety of projects in North Florida, Georgia, and Alabama. Matt Ellenberger, P.E.Matt is a graduate of Purdue University in Indiana earning his Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering in 1996. Matt relocated to Nashville to join the BC&A team in 2002. He is a member of the American Society of Professional Engineers and the National Society of Professional Engineers. His expertise in sportsfield designs and turf products can be seen in stadiums and field renovations designed for the University of Notre Dame, Vanderbilt University, Duke University, as well as multiple track and field upgrades for Metro Nashville Public Schools. Matt Galvin, E.I.Matthew is a 2021 graduate of The University of Tennessee Knoxville with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. During college, he served as the Lead Designer on his Senior Design Project which entailed designing a modular wall system for the construction of an indoor testbed facility using steel stud framing and in accordance with SSMA guidelines. For two years following graduation, he was an Engineer Intern at TDOT gaining valuable knowledge in transportation/roadway design. John Gore, P.E., LEED APJohn joined BC&A in 2001 a few years after graduating from Tennessee Tech University with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. John has been involved in some of Nashville’s most notable projects such as: 225 Polk Avenue, Peabody Union, and Peabody Plaza downtown and all of the region’s Hill Centers including the largest Hill Center located in Brentwood. Walkability and thoughtful urban development are important to John. He served as Chair on the Mayor’s Bike and Pedestrian Advisory Committee, and is active in the Nashville chapter of Urban Land Institute serving as Committee Chair for the ULI Civic Leadership Forum. In 2018, John became a Shareholder in the firm and continues to excel in his commitment to our clients. Sarah GreenSarah is 2020 graduate of Tennessee Tech University with B.S. in Civil Engineering. Matt HolifieldMatt joined BC&A in 1996 as a civil designer and also tinkered with the computers in the office. Jeff Hooper, P.E.Jeff graduated from Tennessee Technological University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and joined BC&A in 2000. In 2003, Jeff was selected by his peers to receive the prestigious “Young Engineer of the Year” Award by the Tennessee Society of Professional Engineers. He has taken active rolls TSPE, ASCE and was past-President of Engineers Association of Nashville and the Nashville branch of ASCE. Jeff is extremely adept at collaborating with Design/Build team members for large-campus projects such as Metro Nashville Airport Authority’s New Garage and Terminal Building completed in 2019, and the TopGolf Recreational Facility completed in 2017 (an 18-acre development sited amongst several engineering design challenges). Sara Hooper, P.E.Sara graduated summa cum laude in 2001 from Auburn University. In 2007, she joined BC&A and is a project manager for a variety of municipal, institutional, and commercial projects. Sara’s projects include site layout, grading, geometric design, safety improvements, storm water management plans, drainage design and stormwater quality design. Suzanne Jackson, P.E.Suzanne graduated magna cum laude with her Bachelor of Engineering degree in 1993 and a Master of Science degree in 1995, both in Civil Engineering from Vanderbilt University. She is a licensed P.E. and has worked in Chicago and Nashville on projects involving urban and transportation planning and traffic engineering. Shelley LoweA graduate of Murray State University with a B.S. in Civil Engineering Technology in 1995, Shelley is highly dedicated to working with design teams toward a common design goal. Shelley has worked nearly exclusively for Vanderbilt University since joining BC&A in 2000 on some of the industry’s most notable projects including Ingram Commons, Warren & Moore Residential Colleges, E. Bronson Ingram Residential College and is continuing with two additional Residential Colleges for Vanderbilt to be constructed in the upcoming years. Anna Maddox, P.E.Anna’s career with Barge Cauthen & Associates began in 2007. Anna graduated in 2004 with a degree in civil engineering from Vanderbilt University. She returned to her hometown of Las Vegas for a short time but made her way back to Nashville to become part of the BC&A team. Anna is an active member of ASCE and has been a member of the Metro Stormwater Management Committee since 2013. Barry MoranBarry is a native Tennessean with extensive knowledge in the civil engineering industry having decades worth of work experience in surveying and computer aided design and drafting. Barry brings valuable knowledge of land descriptions, plats, deeds, ALTA, boundary and topo surveys, construction plans and as-built documents when he was employed by a surveying company prior to joining our firm in 2005. Kathryn Nix, E.I.Kathryn graduated from the University of Alabama in 2021 with a B.S in Civil Engineering and a minor in Construction Engineering. While there she was involved in multiple research projects testing aggregates and concrete mix designs for the university’s Department of Civil Engineering testing . She also served as President of the American Concrete Institute (ACI) chapter. Barry Quinn, P.E., CFMBarry Quinn achieved his B.S., cum laude in Civil Engineering from Tennessee Technological University in 1984. He is a Professional Engineer registered in Tennessee and is also a Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM). Barry began his employment with BC&A in 2007 as Vice President. Prior to that, he was employed by Barge Waggoner Sumner and Cannon, Inc. in the Nashville and Ohio offices from 1978 through 2007 in various positions. Alejandro Segoviano-Carrillo, E.I.We are glad to welcome Alejandro back to the team! Preston SmithPreston is a veteran CAD Designer with a diverse background in civil, utility, and environmental engineering design. He earned an Associates of Science in Civil Engineering Technology from Nashville State Technical Institute in 1990, where he was later asked to become a member of the Adjunct Teaching Staff due to his aptitude in computer aided design and drafting. Preston was also part of the teaching faculty for Metro’s Nashville Adult Continuing Education program offered by MNPS. Seth Sparkman, RLSSeth earned a B.A. from the University of Tennessee in 1995 and a M.A. from MTSU in 1999. Since joining BC&A in 2008, he has been the project designer on a multitude of land development projects collaborating from the conceptual/preliminary planning through as-built survey phases. Seth has participated in the design of a diverse plate of projects including the Sewanee Inn, First Baptist Church, Nashville, the award-winning Madison and Smith Springs Community/Fitness Centers, and Mars Petcare U.S. Headquarters located within the acclaimed “Ovation” project in Franklin TN (10-year buildout of 500 acres) that which Seth has been involved with since the preliminary stage of design.Senior Civil Designer

Don TessierDon Tessier joined BC&A in 2018 with decades-long experience in the civil engineering field. His expertise includes work experience on civil projects in the design of bridges, roadway improvements, civil site layout, aviation authorities, rehabilitation and retrofitting of existing structures. Richard Williams, P.E.A graduate of Tennessee Technological University, Richard earned a Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering in 1987. Richard joined BC&A in 2015 and has exclusively managed a five-year IDIQ contract for Metro Water Services Division of Stormwater.
