John Gore, P.E., LEED APJohn joined BCA in 2001 a few years after graduating from Tennessee Tech University with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. John has been involved in some of Nashville’s most notable projects such as: 225 Polk Avenue, Peabody Union, and Peabody Plaza downtown and all of the region’s Hill Centers including the largest Hill Center located in Brentwood. Walkability and thoughtful urban development are important to John. He served as Chair on the Mayor’s Bike and Pedestrian Advisory Committee, and is active in the Nashville chapter of Urban Land Institute serving as Committee Chair for the ULI Civic Leadership Forum. In 2018, John became a Shareholder in the firm and continues to excel in his commitment to our clients. In 2020, John Gore received Engineer of the Year Award from the Nashville Business Journal’s Commercial Real Estate Leadership Awards committee for his outstanding contributions to development in the city.Principal

Jeff Hooper, P.E.Jeff graduated from Tennessee Technological University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and joined BCA in 2000. In 2003, Jeff was selected by his peers to receive the prestigious “Young Engineer of the Year” Award by the Tennessee Society of Professional Engineers. He has taken active roles in TSPE and ASCE, and was past president of the Engineers Association of Nashville and the Nashville branch of ASCE. Jeff is extremely adept at collaborating with design/build team members for large-campus projects such as Metro Nashville Airport Authority’s New Garage and Terminal Building, completed in 2019, and the TopGolf Recreational Facility, completed in 2017 (an 18-acre development sited amongst several engineering design challenges). Anna Maddox, P.E.Anna’s career with Barge Civil Associates began in 2007. Anna graduated in 2004 with a degree in civil engineering from Vanderbilt University. She returned to her hometown of Las Vegas for a short time but made her way back to Nashville to become part of the BCA team. Anna is an active member of ASCE and has been a member of the Metro Stormwater Management Committee since 2013. With experience in commercial, institutional and industrial development, Anna has been involved in a variety of projects such as Kenect Nashville, Virgin Hotel Nashville, Vanderbilt University’s Engineering and Science Building, and MDHA’s Cayce Place and Kirkpatrick Park multi-family homes.Associate

Ryan Woodson, P.E., CFMRyan graduated Cum Laude from Auburn University with a B.S. in Civil Engineering in 2012. After graduation, he spent a year overseas as an intern with Engineering Ministries International. In 2014, he moved to Nashville to began his career as a civil engineer, and joined the BCA team in 2018. Ryan is a licensed P.E. in Tennessee and a Certified Floodplain Manager designing a variety of projects including the new Asurion headquarters downtown, the Nashville Warehouse Company mixed-use project and many contemporary, single-family townhomes and condos in downtown and East Nashville.Associate

Dan Barge III, P.E.Dan Barge founded Barge Cauthen & Associates, Inc. in 1994 after nearly 20 years with Barge Waggoner Sumner and Cannon. Dan graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1980 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and is registered as a Professional Engineer in the state of Tennessee. Dan has been an active member of ASCE, NSPE and TSPE as well as The Nashville Rotary Club during his professional career. Dan has built decades-long relationships with several of Nashville’s well-known businesses, educational, and government entities such as: H.G. Hill Realty, Vanderbilt University, Montgomery Bell Academy, Harding Academy, Metro Water Services, Metro Development and Housing Agency, and Metro Planning Commission.Founder (retired)
