2019

E. Bronson Ingram Residential College is the third Residential College project completed by Barge Cauthen & Associates for Vanderbilt University as part of the Future VU Masterplan.  The following awards were given to this project in 2019.

2018

The Urban Land Institute Nashville’s 10th Annual Excellence in Development Awards program was BC&A’s 10th consecutive year to be the civil engineer on award-winning design teams. The Nashville District Council reviewed 17 project entries (7 of which BC&A was the civil engineer). Of the 17, they chose 8 as being “Excellent in Development”. BC&A was the civil engineer for 3 of the 8 awarded projects this year. A new “People’s Choice Award” was added this year with one of our projects being chosen to receive this honor.

2017

Urban Land Institute’s Excellence in Development Awards selected 16 project entries as being exceptional and worthy of recognition in effective lands use, construction and economics. BC&A was the civil engineer on 8 of the 16 projects nominated and 3 of the 9 projects receiving an award as follows:

  • The Belcourt Theater (Public/Non-Profit Sector-Small Project)

Excellence in Development Awards by Urban Land Institute Nashville. BC&A was the civil engineer on 5 of the 9 winning projects this year including:

2015

Excellence in Development Awards by Urban Land Institute Nashville. BC&A was the civil engineer on 7 of the 28 projects nominated this year. The two that received awards included:

  • 12 South Flats, Nashville, TN (Best Private Sector Large Project)
  • Highland Heights-KIPP Academy, Nashville, TN (Best Public Sector-Small Project)

2014

Excellence in Development Awards by Urban Land Institute Nashville. BC&A was the civil engineer on two of the six projects receiving awards of the 16 projects nominated:

  • Montgomery Bell Academy Campus Improvements, Nashville, TN

2013

The Historical Commission of Metro Nashville-Davidson County commended BC&A for outstanding efforts toward the preservation of Davidson County’s architectural heritage for the design of The Bridge Building on Victory Avenue.

Parkside Housing Redevelopment, Murfreesboro, TN:

  • Received the “National Award of Excellence in Renovation” awarded by NAHRO out of 1,000 projects in housing and redevelopment across the country.
  • Received the “Agency Award of Merit in Housing and Community Development” by NAHRO

2012

Cumberland Park, Nashville, TN:

  • “Best Projects 2012” awarded by Engineering News-Record Southeast for outstanding design and development.
  • “Outstanding Engineering Project of the Year” awarded by the TN Section of ASCE
