ENR Regional Award and Mass Timber Structures

ENR Regional Award and Mass Timber Structures

Engineering News and Record Regional Awards

Recently Engineering News and Record presented its Regional Best Projects Awards with The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee’s mass timber-built headquarters winning an Award of Merit in ENR’s office, retail, and mixed-use category.  BCA is proud to be part of the wonderful team winning such a distinguished honor as only a limited number of awards are given in the Southeast region.

Mass Timber Construction

We are also extremely proud to be part of the first mass timber projects constructed in Nashville which include the 122K square-foot offices of 1030 Music Row, the 200K square-foot offices at Nashville Warehouse and the new headquarters for The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.  These first structures were built under the previous standard of an allowable maximum height for a mass timber development of six stories.   Now new regulations have recently been created for future construction allowing for a maximum height of 18 stories.

It has been a pleasure to work with these teams and to contribute to these beautiful structures as the city embarks on a new frontier in construction.
